Performing & Worship Arts Administrative Assistant
JOB SUMMARY
The Performing & Worship Arts Administrative Assistant assists the Department Chair with all aspects of department administration, including (but not limited to) revenue and expense management; event marketing, advertising and sales; and all processes of private lesson/dance registration, billing, and payment.
Note: This is a 20 hour/week, 10-month term position (Aug 2025 – Jun 2026).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Agreement to live within the Briercrest Institutional Covenant and align with the mission, vision, and values of Briercrest College & Seminary.
- An earned Bachelor’s degree or relevant post-secondary education and related experience.
- Strong communication skills (i.e.: email, telephone, in-person settings).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills (e.g.: Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Windows environment, Canva).
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well in a team.
- Self-motivation and discipline, including the ability to work well independently.
- Ability to complete moderate physical tasks (e.g.: lift 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with the typical yearly schedule of the Performing & Worship Arts Department activities.
DESIRED OUTCOMES AND ACTIVITIES
- Actively support and promote the Briercrest College & Seminary vision and mission.
- Actively support and promote all Performing & Worship Arts faculty and students.
- Complete all graphic design elements for departmental events (e.g.: posters, save-the-dates, tickets, programs).
- Oversee advertising (print and online) for events and lessons.
- Oversee all private lesson registrations for College and Conservatory students.
- Oversee and manage all ticket sales for departmental events.
- Oversee volunteers for departmental events.
- Help facilitate departmental events (e.g.: Christmas, recitals, dance performances).
- Prepare contracts for adjunct instructors and hired professional musicians.
- Secure licenses for performance rights (e.g.: CCLI, full-length musicals).
- Mange departmental purchases.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.

This position reports to the Performing & Worship Arts Department Chair.
